You will be the Software Engineering Manager for the F-35 JSF Maintenance System organization which is responsible for developing, securing, deploying, and operating cloud-native platforms and applications that support F‑35 sustainment worldwide. What You Will Be Doing As the Software Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading a cloud‑infrastructure team that delivers secure, high‑performance platforms and services for the F‑35 program. "Your responsibilities will include: Drive technical DevSecOps best practices across development teams and ensure successful production delivery. Implement AI‑enhanced development standards to improve code quality, testing, and delivery speed. Design and build cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Partner with cybersecurity stakeholders to embed secure‑by‑default platform capabilities. Who You Are You are a versatile leader who communicates clearly, fosters collaboration, and drives results. Experience in cloud platform engineering, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Kubernetes‑based software development is essential. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Desired skills • Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes-based platforms, including management of supporting infrastructure such as Keycloak, Elastic Stack, observability tooling, and platform services. • In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, encryption methods, identity, and access management (IAM). • Hands-on experience implementing Agentic AI assisted software development • Experience developing applications within a DevSecOps environment • Experience with Project Management principles, including Earned Value, staffing plans, and technical training and career development plans • Experience with DoD Platform One or similar DevSecOps software architectures Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $131,000 - $227,125.
