About the Role Key Responsibilities
Regular site visits to customer sites in the designated sales region.
Check status of existing quotes / projects for all group companies.
Check parts inventory based on “essential parts list” and build accordingly.
Promote and increase new parts demand.
Check planned modifications.
Promote and secure academic technical training for plant personnel.
Check on supervisory services needed.
Promote technical service contracts.
Promote Inspection visits.
Understand and obtain shut-down schedule for all customers.
Will require up to 80% local travel.
Qualifications
Technical sales background, ideally Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or other recognized field.
Preferred Experience in an equivalent position with a custom-engineered machinery supplier.
Preferred to have experience in the wood products industry.
Organizational Skills necessary to work multiple sales efforts.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English language.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Good computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
