To support large-scale Linux server infrastructure, the remote Senior Linux Systems Administrator will manage and optimize Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, ensuring uptime, reliability, and security while collaborating with DevOps and software teams. Key Responsibilities
Manage, monitor, and maintain Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux servers across production and staging environments Implement user access, security policies, and backup/recovery strategies while performing system upgrades and performance tuning Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams for environment provisioning and maintain configuration management using automation tools
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration (Ubuntu & Red Hat) Strong command of Bash scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, SSH) Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Docker)
