We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Charleston, SC, and support the successful execution of commercial construction projects through proactive safety leadership and field support. This role is responsible for promoting and enforcing jobsite safety standards, conducting site inspections, ensuring OSHA compliance, and partnering closely with project teams and subcontractors to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Principle Responsibilities: Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety plans. Lead safety orientations and training sessions for employees, subcontractors, and visitors entering the jobsite. Identify potential hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow through to ensure timely resolution of safety concerns. Assist project teams with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventative measures. Maintain accurate safety documentation, including inspection reports, incident logs, training records, and compliance tracking. Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure adherence to project safety requirements and expectations. Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing safety education initiatives to reinforce a strong safety culture. Support the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans, emergency response procedures, and risk mitigation strategies. Partner with field leadership to promote accountability, awareness, and continuous improvement in jobsite safety practices. Stay current on OSHA standards, industry best practices, and local safety regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
