Software Engineer
to support the
Analytic Hosting Services
team—an exciting opportunity to help build, sustain, and enhance a Kubernetes-based hosting environment that supports microservice deployments across multiple secure networks. This role combines hands-on software engineering with modern infrastructure automation in a high-impact, collaborative environment. We create and maintain is a powerful,
platform-agnostic API
designed to make storing and retrieving data from commercial databases secure, simple, and compliant. It wraps around existing tools to give developers a clean, reliable interface—no more wrestling with inconsistent database setups. Built with
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
principles, this platform is flexible enough to plug into a wide variety of systems, making it easy to scale and integrate into evolving environments. This role supports everything from
hands-on software and systems engineering
to the
ongoing development and sustainment
of the platform. The team also provides
Tier 2 and Tier 3 support
during business hours (8x5), helping to keep all production systems running smoothly. Here’s what your day-to-day might include: As a Software Engineer on the team, you’ll: Design, develop, and maintain
Java-based microservices
using the
Spring framework
Contribute to the buildout and sustainment of a
Kubernetes environment
(with
Rancher
and
Helm )
Support deployment and integration of services across multiple secure networks
Collaborate with systems and infrastructure teams to ensure uptime, scalability, and security compliance
Leverage tools like
GitLab CI/CD ,
Confluence , and
JIRA
to manage workstreams and documentation
Engage in ongoing sustainment efforts including
system patching , compliance tracking, and
SSP management
Use your Linux command-line expertise daily and assist with troubleshooting and operational support
You may also work with: AWS/HCI environments
for hybrid cloud support
Monitoring and visualization tools
such as
Grafana
and
OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
Infrastructure automation tools like
Terraform ,
Salt , or
Ansible
Qualifications
Required Experience: 14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (4 additional years of SWE experience may be substituted for a degree)
Strong experience developing
Java microservices
with
Spring
Proficiency with the
Linux CLI
Hands-on experience with
Kubernetes ,
Rancher , and
Helm
Familiarity with
GitLab CI/CD
and
Atlassian tools
(JIRA, Confluence)
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments (HCI/AWS)
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Desired Skills: Experience with
OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
and
Grafana dashboards
Familiarity with
Terraform ,
Salt , or
Ansible
Experience managing
system compliance , patching, and
SSP documentation
Knowledge of
STE/STN compliance
and corporate security policy
Security+ (CWIP)
certification is a plus
Compensation Range: $170,000.00 - $220,000.00 *The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
