Performing comprehensive patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians (based on credentialing) Providing education to patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and management of diseases Prescribing medications and therapies within the capacity of your practice Engaging in follow-up care and management of chronic conditions Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Wisconsin National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or related specialty certification Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days) Skills That Set You Apart
