Über
Education Required: Successful completion of a telemetry technician program with proof of certificate or equivalent documentation. High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of Connecticut Children's Cardiac Monitor Technician Training within 30 days of hire.
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of related job experience working in a telemetry role. Basic familiarity with computers. Experience navigating basic level web-based applications and Microsoft Office License and/or Certifications Required:
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training certification required within 3 months of hire and maintained thereafter. CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is preferred at time of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to learn basic medical terminology, mathematics and measurements. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication required. Effective oral and written communication skills required. Ability to communicate in English is required. Ability to maintain quality and safety standards. Learn and follow established protocols. Learn and demonstrate competency in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms. Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiac telemetry monitoring. About the Team MS7 is a very fast paced medical surgical floor with 28 beds where our average patient turnaround and length of stay is between 24 hours to 3 days. We specialize in the care of children with complex Neurology, Cardiology, Pulmonary and Urology conditions as well as other general medical ailments. Our team is family oriented and we pride ourselves on teamwork, discovery, advocacy, communication and providing compassionate care. We work closely with a multitude of specialty areas including both the Neonatal and Pediatric intensive care units. We strive to provide patient and family centered care that incorporates our families input to ensure a comprehensive plan of care. Our goal is to build strong trusting relationships with our patients and families. We look forward to welcoming new team members!
