Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited institution for cardiac ultrasound or on-the-job training with an associate's degree in Allied Health. Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer or registry eligible. CPR certification required. One to two years of experience as an echocardiography technician preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to evaluate and record pertinent anatomical and functional data for diagnosis. Conduct cardiovascular diagnostic tests as appropriate, including EKGs, Event Monitor applications, and Stress Testing. Document procedure data accurately in patient charts and notify physicians of critical test results. Maintain and sanitize echocardiography equipment. Assist with clerical duties and patient transport as needed. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
