FTE:.4 Shift: Evening Schedule: Evening shifts Position Summary The Diet Clerk is an exciting opportunity providing nutritional care to patients in accordance with the values, objectives and policies at MultiCare. In this role, you will promote nutritional care through correction and modification of menus, diet order sheets and effective departmental communications. Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver diet information to tray assembly, production, and delivery personnel Update all diet information for patient rooms as received from nursing units Assist the patient to make menu decisions that reflect a healthy well-balanced diet within the parameters of the patients' dietary prescription
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent Current Washington State Food Handlers Card Excellent written, and verbal communication skills The ability to work in a team environment Maintain professional demeanor at all times including but not limited to the phone and diet office A high level of attention to detail and an ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines Strong understanding of therapeutic diets Strong working knowledge of computers and computer programs Basic understanding of office equipment and procedures Provide a high level of customer service while assisting the patient

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
