Diagnose and treat workplace injuries and illnesses in accordance with accepted practices and company policies Monitor and recommend injury prevention programs and continuous safety improvements Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations Train and coach employees on proper safety procedures and use of PPE Perform industrial hygiene testing, record keeping, and follow-up activities Support safety and HR initiatives, including administrative tasks and monthly safety committee meetings Assist with additional duties such as maintenance temperature checks and filling in for other roles as needed
What You Need to Bring to the Safety Coordinator Role:
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Strong attention to safety, detail, and compliance standards Ability to work overtime and be on-call on weekends as assigned Reliable attendance in compliance with company guidelines Ability to perform inspections, documentation, and follow established procedures Previous safety or industrial environment experience preferred
