This role involves working with a diverse patient population, primarily managing cases related to CHF, COPD, cellulitis, cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and acute kidney injury. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment. ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting. Monitor and manage patient conditions, including titration of heparin drips based on APTT results. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans. Supervise and support nursing aides and patient care technicians on the unit. Participate in charge nurse duties as assigned on the unit. Schedule This position requires a rotational schedule consisting of 12-hour day and night shifts, with weekends scheduled as needed. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureValid RN license (State-specific licensure) BLS (American Heart Association) NIHSS certification Experience in an acute care setting is preferred. It is HIGHLY preferred travelers have experience with peritoneal dialysis. Unit Description *52 beds; all private rooms *Ratios 1:6-7 (Mostly 1:7 for both Day & Night shift) *Charge Nurse/House Supervisor The Charge Nurse takes a full patient assignment. He has a Clinical Assistant (CA) 40 hours/week - 1/2 the time is on the floor taking patients & the other 1/2 in the office as the CA Nurse Aides CNA's: Usually have 4-6 CNA's per shift.
