Performing holistic patient evaluations, organizing diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies Diagnosing and addressing acute or chronic medical conditions collaboratively with physicians or independently, depending on your qualifications Educating patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and ongoing care management Prescribing medication and suggested therapies in compliance with your practice scope Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management efforts Working closely with interdisciplinary teams for well-rounded, integrated patient care Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation in electronic health records (EHR) Educational Background
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program Necessary Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Indiana National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months) What Makes You Stand Out
