Description
Conduct thorough evaluations of clients across various demographics using both standardized tests and observational methods. Design customized treatment plans tailored to short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing difficulties. Engage in collaborative care planning with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers. Provide educational resources for patients and their families to support therapy continuance beyond clinical visits. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive care continuity. Keep precise documentation adhering to all applicable state, federal, and organizational standards. Remain informed about advancements in speech pathology through continuous education and peer interactions. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities across all ages, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired communication disorders. Strong communication skills that foster rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
