Job Description: As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic Nuclear Medicine exams on patients using specialized equipment. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of imaging techniques, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Join our team as a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist, supporting a collaborative imaging team with flexible scheduling and opportunities to pick up shifts across multiple Intermountain locations. Shift: PRN (as needed); no guaranteed hours
Schedule: Coverage primarily Monday-Friday
Flexible PRN scheduling based on availability
Primary Location: Alta View Hospital
Additional Opportunities: May pick up shifts at Riverton Hospital, LDS Hospital, or Intermountain Medical Center
Opportunity to pick up additional shifts across multiple facilities
Call Requirements: Rotating weeknight call: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM; Rotating weekend call: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM; Rotating holiday coverage
Essential Functions
Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical and technical functions
Verifies patient identity and orders; prepares patients and performs exams per protocol
Reviews images for quality and accuracy and completes studies within expected timeframes
Follows radiation safety standards, including NRC and regulatory requirements for radiopharmaceuticals
Educates and supports patients, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns
Adheres to infection control, sterile technique, and safety protocols
Operates imaging equipment and systems to produce high-quality images
Maintains accurate documentation in compliance with state licensing and Joint Commission standards
Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, consents, QC, and equipment issue reporting
Assists with training students and team members as needed
Minimum (Required) Qualifications
Current license in state of practice
Clinical board certification, i.e., American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
IV certification for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications
One year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
