Responsibilities Responsible for performing Pulmonary Function Testing, performing quality control on pulmonary function testing performed by other technologists and specialists, rooming the patient entering demographics, and obtaining relevant information from the patient for resting metabolic rate studies. Instructing patients on the use of overnight oximetry machines, downloading overnight oximetry data and generating the report for physician interpretation, and performing sputum induction procedure. Calibrates pulmonary function equipment. Cleans and sterilizes reusable equipment. Checks testing room for supplies and restock testing rooms Qualifications
High School diploma with science major. B.L.S certification desired.
Experience working at Mayo Clinic and/or in a pulmonary function laboratory preferred.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred. ADDL CONSIDERATIONS: Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Must be able to push patients in wheelchair up to 300 pounds.
Must be able to work 30 minutes beyond scheduled time.
