Confirm patient identity and perform exam verification prior to initiating scans. Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety. Insert IVs when necessary for imaging procedures. Position patients safely, taking into account their mobility limitations. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation within EPIC. Ensure that images are accurately identified and sent to the PACS system upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Current licensure as a CT Technologist in New York State with injection therapy certification. Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Minimum of two (2) years of experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center. BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Experience with Siemens and Philips scanning equipment is preferred.
