Conduct speech-language screenings using a variety of screening tools and techniques Follow documented therapy plans Support the SLP with contacting families to arrange IEP meetings. Document student progress in IEP system Prepare therapy materials for use in pullout small group setting or in classroom setting Adapt or modify instructional materials as determined by student need and abilities for teacher-use in the classroom Consult with general ed teachers to co-plan instructional materials or implement strategies Track performance data using progress monitoring tools and report progress on IEP goals Assist with IEP progress monitoring under the supervision of the SLP. Creates and maintains safe, positive environment for students Collaborates with members of IEP Team, Special Education team and School site teams Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, the Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements including antiracism, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior. Comfortable with utilization of technology in a remote environment. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree and completion of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Program Registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with the State of California
Experience Required
1+ year working with students with special needs in an educational setting Valid California Driver's License
Physical Requirements
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. Communicating with others to exchange information. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Work Authorization Requirements
Clear the Department of Justice background screening. Authorized to work in the United States. Provide health (TB) clearance (renewed every four years).
