Conduct thorough evaluations for patients in inpatient or outpatient settings, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs Implement physical therapy techniques that focus on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function Work alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to promote the best possible outcomes Educate patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and exercises for home Keep detailed records of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress following established facility protocols and guidelines Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive care delivery Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution Certifications
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist CPR certification preferred Specialized certifications (e.g., in neurology, geriatrics) are beneficial but not mandatory Skills
Prior experience in the field is strongly preferred Expertise in treating patients with intricate medical and mobility challenges Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with electronic health record systems and clinical documentation Benefits
