Performing thorough patient evaluations, determining diagnostic requirements, and developing individualized care strategies Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses while collaborating with physicians or practicing independently as allowed by your credentials Educating patients and their families concerning prevention, wellness, and effective disease management practices Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in adherence to your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management efforts Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless, comprehensive care Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Necessary Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Arizona Nationally recognized certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) Desired Attributes
