Veterinary Surgeon Qualifications
ACVS Diplomate or completion of a surgical residency program required Experience or strong interest in orthopedic and/or soft tissue surgery Commitment to exceptional patient outcomes and high-quality medicine Strong communication skills with both clients and referring veterinarians Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive leadership approach Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty surgical environment Passion for mentorship, clinical growth, and continued learning Interest in contributing to the growth and development of a progressive practice Client-focused approach with strong emotional intelligence and professionalism Eligible for veterinary licensure in the state of Massachusetts
Veterinary Surgeon Responsibilities
Perform advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures Provide thorough case management from consultation through recovery Collaborate closely with surgical technicians, ER partners, and referral vets Deliver compassionate, client-centered communication and education Maintain detailed and accurate medical records within integrated EMR systems Participate in treatment planning and ongoing patient care discussions Contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative team culture Help advance clinical standards and support continued practice growth Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic tools Build and maintain strong relationships within the referral community
