Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical staff Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients Timely completion and accuracy of paperwork, including daily logs and forms Maintains daily schedules and structure, specifically around transport times, meal times, transition times, and others outside of normal programming hours Function as a member of the treatment team and provide patient observation rounds, and consistent monitoring of patient's activities and behaviors during scheduled shift Attend and actively promote recreational outings and activities with patients; encourage pro-social and coping skills Ensure the wellbeing of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment; proactively respond to patient needs to improve outcomes and the overall patient experience Ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep under direction of leadership Assist patients with their needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary Facilitate and assist with selected activity and education group sessions; document timely and accurately according to established policies and procedures Oversee and manage the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from our facilities Assist in orientation of new admissions Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and their families Be a role model for patients and create a positive culture with staff by emulating professional attitude, language, and communication Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning Document information regarding client care and behavior as required in established policies and procedures Utilize de-escalation skills when exposed to volatile clients in an effort to maintain personal safety while also ensuring safety for the clients, and other individuals in the program Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care Adhere to all Company policies and procedures Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required 1+ year of relevant work experience Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships and excellent communication skills Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities and work time to balance demands Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
