You will perform oral examinations.
You will perform dental charting.
You will take dental radiographs with proper positioning and technique.
You will set up andassistwith dental procedures and surgeries.
You will perform professional dental cleanings including subgingival scaling, root planning, andcurettage.
You will perform effective oral nerve blocks in preparation for advanced procedures as directed byveterinarian.
You will be able to calculate basic medical math.
You will understand classification of commonly used medications, associated sideeffectsand appropriatelymonitorstherapeutic response.
You will administer medications viaappropriate routesand duration.
You will perform phlebotomy.
You will have the ability to place peripheral intravenous catheters.
You will perform physicalexam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratoryrateand effort.
You will induce,monitoranesthesiaand recover patients.
