About Golisano Children's Hospital Golisano Children's Hospital is the dedicated children's hospital within the University of Rochester Medical Center and operates under the license of Strong Memorial Hospital, a regional academic medical center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. The hospital is consistently ranked among the nation's best children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report across multiple specialties, including neonatology, neurology, hematology/oncology, nephrology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and orthopedics. The current eight-story, 148-bed facility provides comprehensive pediatric care across more than 40 specialty areas and serves over 85,000 children and families annually across Western and Central New York. Plans are underway for a significant expansion, including additional inpatient capacity and programmatic growth.
