Assess and evaluate individuals of all ages using comprehensive techniques and standardized testing metrics. Create individualized treatment plans with both immediate objectives and long-range goals to meet the needs of patients focusing on communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver targeted therapy sessions, emphasizing speech, language acquisition, fluency, and safe swallowing strategies. Work collaboratively with a multifaceted team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to shape holistic care plans. Provide education for families and caregivers, ensuring the transfer of skills beyond the therapy room. Conduct inpatient evaluations and interventions on an as-needed basis, promoting continuity in care. Document all patient interactions and treatments in a way that complies with regulatory standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and remain abreast of the latest industry advancements. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet credentialed with ASHA. Certifications
State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. Skills
