Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age groups using established assessment tools alongside observational methods. Create customized treatment plans that cater to immediate needs while also addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities. Engage in collaborative care with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to treatment. Provide education and resources to patients and families, empowering them to support progress outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless transition in patient care throughout their journey. Document patient progress and therapy sessions meticulously, adhering to both state and federal guidelines. Stay abreast of the latest advancements within the field through ongoing education and interaction with peers. Education & Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if you have not achieved ASHA certification. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Desired Skills
