Assess patients of all ages utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods to identify communication needs. Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate and future speech, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Provide individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies. Educate patients and families on ways to support progress outside of therapy sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure optimal continuity of care. Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to regulatory standards and organizational requirements. Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet fully ASHA certified. Certifications Required
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment. Essential Skills
