RN Unit Manager The Nurse Unit Manager is under the supervision of the Day Shift Supervisor, has authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall management of residents on a designated unit on a twenty-four hour basis. The Nurse Manager is responsible for directing, coordinating and supervising the activities of all nursing staff engaged in specific nursing practices and is responsible for transmitting each unit's staff concerns to the appropriate department supervisor. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall management of resident care 24 hours a day, seven (7) days per week. Rate: $42.00-$45.03 per hour, depending on experience Sign on bonus up to $10,000 SHIFT: Full-Time JOB DESCRIPTION: The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for:
Directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of all nursing staff engaged in designated unit Authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall management of residents on a designated unit Responsible for transmitting each unit's staff concerns to the appropriate department supervisor. Maintenance of Resident Care Plans and the overall management of resident care Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree from an accredited school of nursing Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse Must have a minimum of one year of experience in nursing service administration. Additional education or experience in such areas as rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred. Must possess knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long term care. Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable Strong customer service skills and compassion
