Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing specialized assessments and rich observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions, focusing on the crucial elements of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, doctors, nurses, families, and caregivers, ensuring a unified approach to care. Educate patients and their families to support progress beyond therapy settings. Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic continuum. Document findings and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to all relevant guidelines and regulations. Adopt lifelong learning through continual education and collaboration with peers to stay updated on advancements in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if ASHA certification is not yet achieved. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
