Performing comprehensive patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions collaboratively with physicians or independently as permitted by credentials Instructing patients and families on wellness, prevention, and effective disease management Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care administration Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, patient-centered care Documenting all patient interactions meticulously and accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Background
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) A graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Certifications Needed
A valid Nurse Practitioner license in Minnesota National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or its specialty equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire within 90 days) Attributes That Make You Stand Out
