Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full-time, part-time or PRN status classification. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide athletic training services for all home athletic contests and away football games. If a conflict arises between an away football game and a home contest, make arrangements for coverage with qualified medical personnel. 2. Act as liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes and their parents. 3. Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments and referral patterns. 4. Develop and maintain a budget for the athletic training program. 5. Schedule and be present for the bump and bruise clinics as needed. 6. Provide the coaches and athletic director with a list of athletes medically eligible to compete under district and state rules and regulations. 7. Provide to each of the athletic trainers the necessary equipment, supplies and support. 8. Clear communication with other trainers as to their responsibilities within each school. 9. Develop open lines of communication with the participating physicians, providers and facilities. 10. Protect athletes privacy of information, records and injury status as per HIPAA compliance. Qualifications: Education/Certification: BOC certified and licensed in the state of Idaho as an ATC/LAT. BLS/healthcare provider certified. Experience: Work experience in an athletic training program or setting at the college or high school level. Language/Communication: Multi level communication skills Interpersonal: Be able to stay calm but decisive in possible stressful situations. Considerate, empathetic, cooperative while independent.
