Oversee daily operations of the veterinary clinic, including managing schedules to ensure adequate coverage, optimizing workflow, and resource allocation to achieve timely evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for shelter animals. Supervise, mentor, and support Lead Veterinary Technicians to successfully lead daily clinical operations, supporting them in decision-making, workload management, and workflow coordination. Develop and maintain effective communication channels across departments to support coordinated care, collaboration and transparency within the organization. Maintain inventory of medical supplies, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock promptly to always ensure availability. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including controlled substances regulations and veterinary licensing requirements.
What we're looking for:
You embrace our core values: Customer Service, Teamwork, Compassion, and Community Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field preferred. Certification: Licensed/Certified Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) required. Florida State Certified Euthanasia Technician Trainer or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Valid Florida driver's license with acceptable driving record. Experience: Minimum 3 years in veterinary practice, preferably with shelter medicine experience; minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
