Conducting thorough patient evaluations, coordinating diagnostic assessments, and creating tailored care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in cooperation with physicians or independently based on your credentials Providing education to patients and their families about preventive measures, wellness strategies, and disease management Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management initiatives Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic patient care Accurately documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Prerequisites
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Necessary Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or valid equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capacity to acquire them within 90 days) Qualifications That Make You Stand Out
