Diagnose, repair, and maintain both hot-side and cold-side commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, ranges, mixers, steamers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, prep tables, ice machines, and any other commercial kitchen equipment. Perform preventative commercial kitchen equipment maintenance and safety inspections. Install new kitchen equipment and ensure proper ongoing operation. Troubleshoot building electrical, gas, plumbing, and mechanical issues; perform light repairs where possible, and schedule service calls as necessary. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory usage. Maintain vendor relationships, manage warranty service, agreements, and appointments as necessary.
Communicate professionally with internal customers regarding repair timelines and recommendations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Respond to emergency service calls as needed, including nights/weekends/holidays. Maintain and inventory company tools and equipment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience repairing commercial kitchen hot-side equipment and refrigeration/cold-side equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems. Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments (heat, cold, confined spaces, etc.). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred
EPA Certification for refrigeration handling. Experience with gas equipment repair. CFESA certification or equivalent industry certifications. HVAC or appliance repair background. Experience using digital work order or field service systems. Skills

Work Environment This role involves traveling to customer locations and working in commercial kitchens, restaurants, and food service facilities. Candidates should be comfortable working around heat, refrigeration systems, electrical equipment, and fast-paced environments.
