Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma. Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting. Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in multiple hospital units or float pool roles. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Demonstrated ability to manage diverse patient populations and complex clinical situations.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients in various hospital units as assigned, adapting quickly to different clinical environments. Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans. Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient status, initiating appropriate interventions. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements across all assigned units. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best nursing practices.
