Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters with precision. Observe, document, and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms. Identify rhythm abnormalities promptly and communicate concerns to Registered Nurses. Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment effectively. Respond swiftly to monitor alarms and emergency situations while maintaining composure. Utilize office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, copiers, telephones, and computers for documentation and communication. Ensure accurate documentation of patient monitoring initiation and discontinuation. Maintain confidentiality and proper management of patient records. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course is preferred. One to two years of experience in a patient care setting preferred. Telemetry Technician experience is advantageous. Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required. Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation with the ability to pass certification exams. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to ongoing learning and passing yearly competency tests.
Work Environment and Shift This is a full-time night shift position with 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week.
