Maintain and stock supplies, ensuring inventory adequacy and cost-effective use within budget guidelines. Sort and store surgical instruments and supplies in designated areas. Support family-centered care principles, promoting positive birth and postpartum experiences. Provide clerical assistance including assembling patient charts and managing unit records. Operate infant security protocols and enter data into state health databases. Assist nurses with patient care tasks such as bathing, vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and newborn care. Transport patients safely and assist with positioning and lifting as needed. Participate in patient rounding and respond promptly to call lights. Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols, including emergency procedures and use of personal protective equipment. Contribute to staff education and orientation efforts. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Education and Certification
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Completion of a CNA course and listing on the Nurse Aide Registry required. Verification of Nurse Aide I course completion or equivalent competency. Nurse Aide II-Advanced course preferred and may be offered post-hire. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association required. Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire. Experience and Requirements
Ability to perform physical demands of the role reliably. Strong communication skills tailored to patient age and developmental needs. Commitment to safety, teamwork, and maintaining a positive work environment. Regular attendance and willingness to participate in ongoing training and safety drills.
