License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse.
Certifications: Minimum: BLS, ACLS, PALS required through AHA or RQI system during clinical orientation, and NIHSS. Preferred: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association recommended within 2 years of hire. TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire.
Must-Have: Must be comfortable floating to multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER). Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills. Computer literacy.
Description: RN Float Pool position for night shifts. Rotation includes every other weekend and holidays. Must be cross-trained for multiple units including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER. Candidates should have critical care experience. Basic Coronary Care certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification is required within 90 days of hire. Demonstrated knowledge and skills related to care appropriate to patient age groups. Ability to assess data reflective of patient's status. Must interpret the appropriate information to identify each patient's requirements. Will provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with principles of professionalism and effective communication. Promotes safety, dignity, respect, and well-being in the healthcare environment. Exemplifies healthy relationships and teamwork within the organization.
