We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 17-week contract assignment. Under general supervision, the technologist will perform computerized tomography (CT) imaging procedures and may assist with general diagnostic radiology exams. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining imaging accuracy, radiation safety, and departmental standards. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for CT examinations while explaining imaging procedures clearly.
Review physician orders, clinical history, and patient information to ensure accurate imaging protocols.
Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Administer IV contrast media using power injectors and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Assist Radiologists with sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies when required.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety and ALARA principles.
Maintain imaging quality and manage image transfers through PACS.
Complete study documentation and indexing within RIS and patient medical records.
Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, supplies, and imaging equipment.
Collaborate with Radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure efficient patient care.
Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, professionalism, and customer service standards. Required Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year of CT Technologist experience required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT or CT registry-eligible required.
Current BLS certification required.
Must maintain continuing medical education requirements. Required Skills
Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and patient positioning.
Experience administering IV contrast media.
Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills. Work Environment
May work in hospital-based or ambulatory/mobile imaging units.
Potential exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients.
May occasionally lift or move patients and equipment exceeding 10 lbs. Additional Information
Block scheduling available; weekend rotation required.
No on-call requirement.
Equipment/Technology: Client, OEC C-Arms, and Carestream Portables.
