Conduct a broad array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging Ensure patient comfort and safety during the scanning process while describing each step with sensitivity and clarity Collaborate with radiologists and referring healthcare providers to achieve high-quality diagnostic output Properly operate and maintain all imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues Meticulously document procedures and maintain patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system Stay informed regarding advances in ultrasound techniques and continuously improve your practice Education and Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred Certifications Required
Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent Preferred: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Essential Skills
Strong technical skills in sonographic imaging and patient positioning Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment Benefits Overview
