Organizes and performs tasks efficiently to meet departmental turnaround time standards. Performs computer data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and/or phlebotomy. Processes specimens for laboratory testing.
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Qualifications: Education: High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and Other Accredited Program: Formal Training from an accredited phlebotomy school or medical assistant program (preferred) (Preferred) Work Experience: less than 1 year Entry level (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients, customers, co-workers. Takes responsibility for self-development Working knowledge of preanalytic laboratory and safety policies and procedures. Display initiative to perform job duties Ability to work in fast paced environment Ability to multi-task Competent on venipuncture for all ages.
