Conduct evaluations for diverse patients including infants, adults, and seniors, utilizing both standardized tools and observation techniques. Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Offer individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving skills in communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Partner with interdisciplinary teams-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers-to establish comprehensive care approaches. Provide education for patients and families to support progress beyond the therapy sessions. Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic journey. Document case updates accurately and promptly in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols. Commit to continual learning to stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Essential Skills
