Responsibilities and duties of the Design Engineer role
Reporting to the Design Manager you will:
Manage design consultant activities to ensure compliance with project programmes and client requirements. Act as the technical lead for permanent works design packages where required. Manage the Technical Queries process, ensuring actions are assigned, tracked, and closed out effectively. Coordinate design workshops, meetings, and interface activities whilst maintaining accurate records and action trackers. Support the delivery of design programmes, ensuring all design deliverables are produced on time and to the required quality standards. Review design submissions, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
