To support the Advanced Analysis Team, the full-time Senior Scientific Data Engineer will design, implement, and enhance core scientific data systems and workflows for genomic data management and AI capabilities, while working in a hybrid environment. Key responsibilities
Develop and enhance core scientific data and compute capabilities as part of an engineering team Design, build, and deploy production automated systems, APIs, and workflows for genomic data movement and job orchestration Identify and resolve technical issues while driving continuous improvements in system reliability and scalability
Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience Strong knowledge of software and data engineering fundamentals for data-intensive distributed systems Experience with database technologies, including relational databases and object storage Proficiency in Python and familiarity with additional programming languages Experience using data engineering technologies such as Airflow or Kafka
