DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Lead staff to meet daily/weekly production goals through efficient production processes:
- Ensure that adequate staffing exists through effective scheduling.
- Effectively manage labor costs as directed.
- Ensure that all employees are adequately trained.
2. Exhibit sound leadership:
- Listen to all employees - encourage two-way communication
- Serve as a role model for respect for the company's policies and procedures
3. Fill in and assist with any position as needed to ensure that production goals are met. This includes tie-out, production positions, etc.
4. Work in constant collaboration with Production/Plant Manager to maintain equipment.
5. Work in collaboration with the service department to consistently meet their needs through complete tie-outs and timely response to urgent service requests.
6. Uphold a genuine regard for safety by ensuring that safety committee meetings are held monthly on relevant topics.
- Reactimmediatelyto perceived safety violations or issues, contacting the Safety Directorimmediately.
- Participate willingly in the quarterly safety audit.
7. Track and communicate necessary information to employees regarding production targets, achievements, etc.
- Communicate visibly via a Production Board
- Hold periodic department meetings to discuss accomplishments.
8. Responsible for product quality:
- Implement a quality assurance system internally
- Ensure that formulas and processes are documented,taughtand followed.
9. Handle administrative duties as needed:
- Generate reports as neededin a timely manner
- Work with office staff to ensure that new hire paperwork and other reporting is handled efficiently and accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without accommodation.
- At least 3 years supervisory experience in a related production environment
- Solid leadership acumen
- Excellent organizational skills
- Has succeeded at a job that required attention to detail, flourishing in a fast pace and measuring/communicating results
- Exceptional internal collaboration skills
- Solid computer skills
DECISION MAKING ACCOUNTABILITY
- Authority to make decisions as needed to satisfy customer requirements within reasonable boundaries.
- Disciplinary decisions up to termination Hiring decisions with supervisor's approval (List decisions that the incumbent should seek approval prior to making)
- Termination decisions Major exceptions to current policyregardingservicing customers
