Medical Assistant

Immediate contract position available for our physician practice group in Riverhead, NY. Note: Experience with Family Medicine and specialties including Cardiology and Urology a plus!

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr Work Schedule:

• 8:00am - 4:00pm, 8:30-4:30, 9am-5pm (Monday to Friday)
• 11am-7pm, occasionally/if needed and with notice

Responsibilities:

• Obtain the patient's medical history and document in the electronic medical record
• Medical chart review, assisting providers, rooming patients, taking patient vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy and preparation of exam rooms
• Assist with front desk responsibilities, as needed

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
• BLS Certification
• Be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• EPIC system experience a plus
