About Your New Job As a Design Engineer in the Wastewater Division, you will: Develop design documents, technical drawings, and details for wastewater infrastructure projects.
Ensure all designs prioritise safety, environmental performance, constructability, and commercial efficiency.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams covering civil, hydraulic, environmental, structural, and project management disciplines.
Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to support the design process and approval.
Undertake site visits and technical assessments to inform and validate design decisions.
Identify and implement opportunities for sustainability and innovation in design solutions.
Stay up to date with the latest industry standards, guidance, and technology through continuous professional development.
What Skills You Need Proven experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS required Experience in a similar design engineering role on Uisce ireann wastewater projects.
Strong understanding of wastewater infrastructure design requirements and project delivery.
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver practical, robust solutions.
Initiative, independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously when required.
Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism and motivation.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline (Level 7/8 or equivalent) is desirable.
Progress toward professional accreditation is an advantage.
