We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Sanger, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical design of components, assemblies, and complete machinery/systems
BOM creation and maintenance and the use of comprehensive MRP/ERP systems
Provide robust engineering support to both, internal and external contacts, from concept through implementation
Effective and timely execution of multiple engineering projects within a team-based environment
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in mechanical design of capital equipment
BS/BSE in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5-years experience designing complex electro-mechanical projects, preferably packaging machinery
Proven experience designing to meet DLS (Design for LeanSigma) and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) processes
Demonstrated proficiency with Solidworks and/or other 3D parametric CAD modeling systems, including all aspects of modeling and illustration creation
Proven knowledge of machine tool processes; sheet metal forming, laser cutting, milling, grinding, lathes, welding technologies, etc.
Proven knowledge of material characteristics used in machinery design; stainless steel, alloys, plastics, composites, etc.
Effective verbal and written communications and demonstrated mature technical judgement
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
Ability to lead project teams to execute projects on time and under budget
