Software Engineering Internship Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) is seeking highly motivated and adaptable candidates for a Software Engineering Internship. This position involves performing software development and software engineering tasks in support of LInC objectives. LInC has broad expertise in fields such as artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), electronic warfare (EW), sensors, autonomy, surveillance systems, big data, applied biology, and directed energy. This role requires applying existing knowledge and acquiring new skills to help solve complex problems for U.S. DoD customers. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of mentors, engineers, and interns and will have opportunities for team-building and personal development seminars and activities. Primary Responsibilities Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop solutions to challenging problems and document results and findings Apply previously acquired skills and knowledge to software engineering and development tasks Effectively communicate with engineers and scientists regarding current tasks Basic Qualifications Actively enrolled in a B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (minimum 3.0 GPA) Practical experience with programming and software engineering through coursework, lab projects, and previous internships Experience with Java, C/C++, and/or Python Demonstrate problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance, U.S. citizenship required Ability to work effectively in a dynamic R&D environment Prior experience with augmenting and exploiting Synthetic Aperture Radar sensor data products Preferred Qualifications Experience with Linux Experience with software design, software architecture, data structures, and/or databases Experience with artificial intelligence/machine learning/deep learning Pay Range $46,800.00 – $84,600.00 Location #Remote EEO Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
