Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a dynamic healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, act with integrity, and support a caring environment through teamwork each day.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with location protocols, including verifying credentials and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
- Support healthcare staff during security-related calls for assistance, patient-related incidents, and/or transport-related activity while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
