Description
A comprehensive evaluation process for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational insights. Craft and implement tailored treatment strategies that address immediate challenges along with long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities. Deliver individual speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Engage in collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to devise unified care plans. Provide educational support to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions. Contribute to inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions when needed, ensuring seamless care continuity. Uphold meticulous and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. Pursue ongoing learning and professional growth through continuing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Achievement of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-driven treatment techniques across all age groups, with rich knowledge in both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
